We are a friendly, welcoming tennis club for all ages

Crowthorne tennis club is located in the beautiful countryside between Crowthorne and Wokingham, run by the members, for the members. It boasts four all weather courts, with floodlights available free on demand.

With organised tennis sessions several times a week, a wide range of competitive opportunities and a variety of social events, there is always something going on. Try us out, you will not be disappointed.

Our fully qualified coaches run group lessons for both juniors and seniors throughout the year. They are also available for individual coaching lessons for any club member.

Club Membership

We welcome new members of all ages and abilities all year round.  Discounts are available for Families and, after July, subscriptions are reduced. Our Affinity Membership gives special rates to pupils, staff and families at St.Sebastians Primary School and also to members and families of the other clubs who operate at St.Sebs.

Coaching

Our coaching team provides lessons organised into 3 month courses starting in January, April and September.  Courses for juniors and minis are on Saturdays mornings and Monday afternoons,  those for adults are on Monday and Wednesday evenings.  Individual coaching is also available at other times and junior camps are run in the school holidays.

Juniors

Crowthorne Tennis Club has Mini membership for those aged 10 and under as well as Junior membership for 11 to 18 year olds. Caroline Atkinson, who is on the club committee to look after the interests of the junior and mini members,  enters Junior teams in the Winter and Summer Leagues and, subject to demand, organises a Friday evening Club Night during the summer, Sunday practices sessions and occasional tournaments.

Tournaments & Matches

The club enters teams in the Berkshire Ladies’, Men’s and Mixed Doubles Leagues and in the Junior Leagues, in the Winter and the Summer.  Also Men’s teams in the Berkshire Team Tennis League in the Spring and Ladies and Men’s Teams in the Veterans Leagues in the Summer.  In addition there’s our Annual Club Championships which include Handicap and Round Robin and Knockout events plus Singles Box Leagues and Social Tournaments for Adults and Juniors.
